When To Plan A Baby Shower

A successful baby shower is achieved if it is done with proper planning. It is well said that "Preparation is key to success" . It is ideal to plan a baby shower just after the birth of the baby, but baby shower can be thrown in two situations i.e. before the arrival of the baby and after the arrival.

Before the baby is born - If you are panning a baby shower before the baby's birth then the right time would be one month to six weeks before the due date. But situations here becomes tricky when the delivery can occur before the due date. Invitations for baby shower before birth, should be given 2 -3 weeks prior to the party as your guest may not find enough time if invitation sent to them immediately.

After the baby is born - The baby shower held after the arrival of the baby is an ideal baby shower. The baby shower should be held in a month or a two as per the convenience of a new mother. But before planning make sure that the new mom has recovered from the delivery and is just in an appropriate condition to enjoy the baby shower. The invitations should be send within a week of the new mom’s and baby’s discharge from the hospital.
